(*these dates will be announced as soon as they are confirmed)TUITION-In an effort to offer all dancers the opportunity to experience multiple styles of dance and classes, we offer tuition discounts based on the number of hours per week. September tuition is due upon registration into a class. Thereafter, tuition will be collected on the 25th of each month via automatic withdrawal from your checking account or debit or credit card. Tuition will be paid in advance for the upcoming month. (Example: October 2018 tuition will be paid on September 25, 2018) Declined auto payments will be charged a returned item fee of $30.00 and a late fee of $15.00 will be added if account is not brought to current by the 1stof the month.
Tuition is based on a yearly fee for the total classes provided and not on the number of classes per month. Allowances have been made for holidays. Tuition will be collected in 9 monthly installments for the season of September through May. If the recital is held in June there may be a partial month of tuition due.
Non-Sufficient or Uncollected Funds- Checks returned due to NSF or electronic debit(s) returned by a financial institution as unpaid will be charged a returned item fee of $30.00 per item.
WITHDRAWAL -If your child is not having a positive experience at Synergy please communicate with our Director, Dana Riste or your child’s instructor – it is our goal to produce healthy, happy, educated dancers! Any withdrawal from a class must be done in writing 30 days before actual withdrawal date. Charges will continue to be accessed until withdrawal form is completed and signed. Withdrawal forms are at front desk.
FOOD & BEVERAGES –Water is the only food or drink permitted in the dance studios. Please be mindful of food and beverage consumption in the waiting area and clean up any messes that may occur. Thank you!
WEATHER/STUDIO CLOSINGS –In the event of inclement weather, please check the studio website or Facebook page. Synergy does not always follow the school in our closings. As always we ask for parents and students to use their best judgment, as your safety is our chief concern during these times.
SHOES -Required shoes for each class are listed in the class descriptions found at the studio or on the website. All shoes (excluding Pointe shoes) can be sized and purchased through the studio. This is recommended as all dancers will be required to have the same brand and color of shoes for recital.
TIGHTS -Tights should be worn to every class. Tights can be ordered and purchased through the Synergy Dancewear Store. Specific tights will need to be ordered for each of your child’s dances to ensure a uniform look and color for recital and/or competition. Colors of the required tights will be posted after costumes have been ordered.
HAIR & DANCE ATTIRE-Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or bun and out of your dancer’s face. For ballet and companie classes, dancers are required to wear their hair in a bun with a bun form. Please have your dancers dressed in tights and flexible dancewear, such as leotards, bike shorts, tank tops, etc. for optimum movement. Jeans and other restricting clothing will make it difficult for your child to dance and may not be worn in class. For ballet and pointe classes, dancers are required to wear pink ballet tights, a black leotard, a ballet belt and pink Sansha ballet slippers. Companie classes will need to follow the companie dance attire requirements outlined in the Companie Handbook.
RECITAL FEE –This $100.00 fee per family includes: 2 Recital Tickets, 1 Recital DVD and 1 Recital T-shirt per family (additional shirts may be ordered separately). See Recital Fee form for more details.
COSTUMES -Costume fees vary by class and age. Costume fees will include tights and accessories. All Classic Program classes will purchase 2 costumes. Twinkle Stars, Cheer, Ballet, Pointe, Danceline, Hip-Hop, Modern, Musical Theater, Lyrical with Lacy and Baton classes will purchase 1 costume. Companie dancers will purchase 1 costume for each style of dance. A deposit of 50% of the costume fee is due on October 4th. The remaining balance must be paid in full by November 8th.
ABSENCES–Students can make up classes missed during the same month of absence. No refund will be given for classes missed. Please email the studio for appropriate make-up class.
TICKETS - Recital ticket on-sale date will be announced closer to recital time. Tickets will be sold online. Ticket price will be approximately $17.00
MISCELLANEOUS
- Remember dance shoes only are permitted on the dance floor as dirt, rainwater, grime, and winter salt from street shoes can cause damage to the flooring.
- Please be prompt to pick your children up at the end of class. Teachers tend to have classes back to back, and we are unable to supervise students. If they must wait, have them prepared ahead of time with some work to keep them occupied. The studio will close 10 minutes after the last class of the evening.
- Please label all shoes and dance attire as well as dance bags. Label shoes on the inside, not on the bottom.
- Parents are asked to supervise all siblings in the waiting area. We have a designated area with puzzles, games and blocks to for them to enjoy!
